Advice for a New Agent: Surround Yourself with Passionate People

I began my real estate career back in the early 90's, coming off a career as a stay-at-home mom. Those years were inspired by giggles, hugs and dandelion bouquets. Financially there were sacrifices in our lives, but I can proudly look back and with no regrets, those were some pretty awesome years raising our two children.

I remember reentering the workforce with uncertainty, but truly believing in myself that this was the right decision. I surrounded myself with industry leaders and was a sponge absorbing the wisdom and culture. I knew that the fastest way to get up and running was to live and breathe the air of passionate people.

Reflecting... my advice to a new agent is:

  • Build your tribe; those that inspire you, those that motivate you and those that believe in you.
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions.
  • Listen.
  • Be a lifelong learner.
