We all have a special place that we like to go to, whether it is inside in the comforts of your home in a big comfy chair surrounded by plush pillows or outdoors in nature with trees or water all around you. Finding that place that brings you complete joy and happiness is what makes you tick and recharges your battery. My happy place is outdoors. I love nature, the big sky, a canopy-lined path through the woods, and the beauty around me while walking the Eastern Trail. With public parking spots easily accessible in Scarborough off Old Blue Point Road, Pine Point Road, and Black Point Road, I can park and walk or bike for miles. My mother-in-law taught me to appreciate the birds and with a plethora of them in the Scarborough Marsh, I am reminded of her as I meander along the path. Certainly, with the "Bridge the Gap" funding underway, I look forward to the day of biking into Portland as well.
